Hall of Famer Allen Iverson admitted that missing out on the 2008 Team USA was a painful blow for him. Iverson was part of the 2004 team that failed to win Olympic gold. In 2008, the Americans managed to take revenge.
I wanted to be on that team. But I was not invited to the meeting. And they put together a squad that eventually won.
Nothing depended on me. I definitely didn`t want to make it big out of respect for the guys that were chosen. I rooted for them until the very end, but deep down I worried. It hurt, " Iverson admitted.
