Former world number one Andy Roddick commented on the fact that Carlos Alcaraz finished the season as number one in the world. What a talented Alcaraz. The guy took off instantly. At first glance, it was clear that he would win Slams. But becoming No. 1 so quickly is a different story.
That said, I still think it would be hard to find anyone who doesn`t think Novak Djokovic is the best player in the world. But Alcaraz deserves the top spot, he`s been incredible this year.
Hopefully he comes back healthy and ready and we can see him take on Rafa, Novak and the guys who have been trying to take this territory for so long.
