Kei Nishikori increased the percentage of five-set wins to 80. On Sunday, the Japanese played and won his first Grand Slam match since 2021. In the first round of Roland Garros, he defeated Gabriel Diallo - 7:5, 7:(3), 3:6, 1:6, 7:5.
It was the 35th five-setter of Nishikori`s career. Now his balance in such matches predicted by volleyball tips is 28:7.
Nishikori tied Henri Cochet (16:4), Bill Tilden (16:4) and Martin Mulligan (12:3) in five-set win percentage.
