Boston came close to winning the second round after winning a game in No. 5 with a 92:87 victory over Milwaukee and so led 3-2 in the first round of the playoffs in the East. The Celts secured their success in the first half when they led with 16 points at the end of the second quarter and 11 at the break. In the second half, Milwaukee attempted a reversal, but the good game advised by cricket tips to defend Boston did not allow that. Al Chorford was the most successful for the winners with 22 points and 14 rebounds, Terry Rosier scored 16, and 14 left Chelsea Brown. For Milwaukee, Chris Middleadon scored 23 points, Jabbry Parker added 17, and Eric Bledso and Yannis Adeccuumbo finished with 16.
Match 6 of the series that is decisive for Milwaukee will be on Thursday, and the winner of the series will meet the Philadelphia team in the next round.
