The Argentinian tennis player Juan Martin Del Potro declined to take part because of an injury in the ATP final tournament, which begins at the end of next week in London, reports the press. Del Potro, ranked fourth in the world rankings, heals a fracture of the right knee cap he received on October 11 in the Shanghai Masters Series tournament. The 30-year-old Argentine is recovering well, but eventually, after consulting the knee injury specialist and physician Boca Juniors Jorge Batista, he decided not to take the risk to be fully prepared for the next season`s start. Del Potro performed strongly in 2018, recording 47 wins in 60 games. He won two titles in Acapulco and Indian Wells and reached the Grand Slam final for the first time in nine years in New York at the US Open. The Argentine also played the semi-final of Roland Garros and Wimbledon quarterfinal. The renunciation of the Tower by Tandil means that Marin Cilic will be among the best eight for the year. For the last two places, Dominic Team, John Isner, Kei Nishikori and Borna Coric are fighting, and the Croat must win the tournament in Paris if he wants to have chances.
